Do not wax if you are:
Sunburned, Diabetic, taking Tetracycline, Accutane,
Retin A, Retinol, use Glycolic Acids or Alpha Hydroxys.
How long should I wait in between waxes?
Each person is different but usually in the beginning,
four weeks. The more you wax, the longer in between
sessions.
Will my hair grow back thicker?
As you wax you’ll notice that your hair grows
in softer, lighter and thinner. Facial hair can take
longer to thin out due to hormonal changes.
Before Waxing:
Let the hair grow at least one quarter of an inch.
If longer than one inch, trim hair to lessen pain.
Lightly loofah skin or use scrubs to exfoliate the
skin. You may take a pain reliever if you have a low
pain tolerance. You may take an anti acid to decrease
redness due to waxing.
After Waxing:
For 24 hours: Do not tan. Do not use deodorant (underarms).
Do not cover waxed area with liquid make-up. Do not
use talc powder or pure cornstarch.
After 24 hours:
Loofah or exfoliate with scrubs to minimize ingrown
hairs. Moisturize.
Your waxing experience should go very smoothly when
you know what to expect. If you have any questions
please schedule a free consultation with one of our
skilled estheticians. We have two types of wax that
are used. One is a hard wax, mainly used for face,
underarms and bikini. The other is a soft wax used
with a strip for larger areas. Before waxing, the
area will be cleaned and a numbing solution may be
applied. After waxing, any sticky residue will be
removed and a soothing lotion or oil will be applied.
